Finding Out If a Niche Can Make You Money Through Keyword Research.

Can I Make a Living in This Niche?

Indeed, that is the query. If you can answer that question, you will not have wasted your time. AND.. you may find financial success.

The only thing I can do is help you figure out whether or not a given niche has the potential to be profitable; sadly, neither I nor anybody else can tell you which niche to choose. It will take some educated guesswork and intuitive probing before you locate your place.

You can check out metrics like Gravity and popularity on Clickbank; I can tell you that much. Don’t forget to look at what’s on sale! What do you think of the product? Is the call to action compelling?

Google Zeitgeist is another excellent tool for discovering what people are interested in now. You should also check out Yahoo Buzz and Lycos. Amazon is yet another helpful reference. Find out what people are buying the most of. (The “bestseller” link can be accessed here.)

If you need inspiration, scan through these sources. Check out the top sites and lists to see what’s trending. Check out the most sought-after terms.

Here’s how to figure things out after you’ve had an idea or two:

Assuming the market is viable
How to rank for the chosen keywords, the things you should sell, and the profitable keywords themselves
Finding Relevant Keywords

This is not going to be the tedious, time-consuming guru approach. This is going to be your strategy for finding niche keywords quickly. Finding good themes and keywords won’t take up to much of your time if you can get this down. Follow this procedure EXACTLY as it is outlined. It is essential to your achievement.

Step 1

Please visit EzineArticles.com. Locate the Ezine Search field. Put in a relevant keyword from your area. Use a longer phrase this time.

Now, please read the first article on the list. Right-clicking anywhere in the report will bring up a menu with more options. Simply choose to “view source code” by clicking the button.

The article’s raw HTML code will load in a new tab or window. Find the following in the source code:

Meta name=”keywords” content=”here are the article keywords”>

NOTE Please use the “publish article” link within the article if you cannot do so. The article’s keyword rankings will be displayed. (But that will boost the article’s visibility and traffic.)

Now, take a look at the compiled list of terms. Jot them down, then enter the first one into the free keyword tool “word tracker.”

freekeywords.wordtracker

Daily search volume data will be displayed. Multiply the figure by 30 to get the monthly search volume. Enter the corresponding number next to your search term.

Examine the Google AdWords competition for your chosen keywords. Put “keyword” (without the quotations) into the search box. The actual number of sites that employ this keyword will be revealed.

How likely you are to rank highly for specific keywords varies numerically. If there are fewer than 8,000 contestants, you have a good chance of winning. Most of the exact matches for the cited keywords aren’t helping their rankings. It could be a collection of written works like articles, blogs, and websites. Few of these links have any bearing on Google’s search rankings.

Record this with the results of your daily keyword search.

Make sure to do this for every keyword. If you need to read a few more articles, that’s fine. You need a large pool of keywords, preferably between 15 and 20.

You may learn more about the goods on offer by following the links at the end of the articles. To find a product for sale, stick with them. Even if it takes a few extra clicks, you will eventually reach a sales page for the product.

You should also monitor the number of AdWords campaigns competing for each term. To see more sponsored results from AdWords, select the option that says “more sponsored results” on the page’s right side. It will provide a list and count of all active AdWords campaigns for the specified keyword. Remember to record this. Find out if consumers will pay for this specific keyword/market combination. That’s the most crucial piece of information you can get. A keyword is profitable if it attracts advertisers willing to pay the price per click.

I’m crossing my fingers for a range of 10–20 Campaigns.

So now you have information relevant to your keywords. You are familiar with the level of competition, the number of monthly searches, and the profitability of individual keywords.

You should prioritize the keywords that get the most searches.

Next steps?

It is time to study the rival companies now. How are they achieving such a high position? How can I outrank them in a Google search? How many links back do you need to be on the first page of Google?

Simply keep your Google search window open. The next step is to launch Yahoo’s search page in a new tab. We plan to determine how many other websites link back to these. (If you know how to calculate this sum independently, by all means, do so.)

This is how we’ll complete our simple task. Start by using the top-ranked search engine result for your initial query. Throw open the door. The next time you need to search Yahoo, copy the URL and enter it into the search bar.

After entering it into the search bar, you will perform the following:

http://www.url.com/product was the original URL.
Updated scholarly address: http: //www. url.com/product.htm

After entering the URL, hit the search button. Inbound links to the site will be detailed here. We’d prefer if sites didn’t have thousands of backlinks, which could be challenging to compete with. Keep an eye on the source of the connections, though. It’s common for websites to have several hundred or even a thousand “internal” links. That is, the links originate within the content of the website itself. Having a majority of internal links is a positive sign. Actual backlinks will help us triumph over this obstacle.

You need not visit every website. But you should check that there is a legitimate chance for you to rank on at least one of the leading four to seven sites. With only 20 or so inbound connections, the third or fourth site should be fine.

This needs to be done for EVERY one of your keywords. Skipping them or not thoroughly researching the keywords and site information might lead to wasted time. Maintain consistency. The payoff will be substantial. The more you do it, the quicker you’ll get at it. In the end, all you’re doing is copying and clicking. Each site’s data appears after a brief delay.

Once you’ve researched these terms, you’ll clearly know how lucrative they are. Finding about 10–15 relevant keywords won’t take too long.

After doing some investigating, we have learned the following:
What search terms perform well, and which ones yield a good ROI?
How are sites attempting to rank for these terms?
You may now calculate the potential earnings of your niche with this data. If you can make sense of these figures, you may be assured that devoting time to this area is a good idea. And that’s all we ask for.

Traffic from AdWords + Daily Searches + Few Competitors = Gains
